about

This was part of an album I recorded in 2011, in Marrakech, featuring Said Damir & the Gnawa All-Stars. The track became the inspiration behind this ep.
The name ‘Shalaba’ refers to the old Gnawa tribes, and the lyrics are about forgiveness, and form part of the Nagsha - the intro music to the Gnawa trance night.
